The Power House waterfalls, regarded as one of the top tourist attractions in Kerala, is situated at about 18 km from Munnar. This waterfall, cascading from a height of about 2,000 meters rolling over the steep rocks, is also known as the Chinnakanal Waterfalls. It
has a rich picturesque natural beauty with tea estates and thick vegetation of tall trees enclosing the area. The waterfall is believed to originate from the ‘Sita Devi Kulam’ a lake at Devikulam, it is also known as the ‘Lake of Goddess.’ The Power House waterfall is
en-route to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary in Thekkady as well, so a visit here can also land you to another must-see attraction. Here you can enjoy thorough going caress and a thrilling experience that will restore one’s senses as you stand under the free falling water.
Capture the unblemished loveliness of the surroundings and admire the rich unspoiled beauty and greenery all around the Power House waterfalls. In addition, Power House Waterfalls is one attraction every traveller should visit when you visit the south state of India.

There are many renowned tourist locations in and around Chinnakanal Waterfalls or Power House Waterfalls. In fact, Munnar is located just 40 minutes from the attraction, ‘one prime hill station in Kerala.’ Amongst many places to visit in Kerala, you can visit Munnar because
it is blessed with many waterfalls. Some of the best waterfalls near Munnar are Lakkam waterfalls, Attukal waterfalls apart from that you can also visit a major tourist attraction like the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary. Besides, you can stroll amidst the lush tea gardens around Munnar and also visit the Eco Point in Mattupatti Dam.

You can visit the waterfalls at any season except April because the water level will be at the least. It is best suited time to visit the
waterfall after monsoon when the water level is still at its peak and you can witness the rush of the Power House or Chinnakanal Waterfalls.

The nearest railway station is Aluva Railway Station which is almost 118 KM away from Power House Waterfalls. Cochin International Airport is the nearest airport to Power House Waterfall and it is situated at a distance of 116 KM away from this place via Aluva Munnar road. You can also reach the attraction from Munnar which is about 16 KM away.

You can easily reach Power House Waterfalls via Kerala State Road Transport Corporation. They have buses running to and fro on daily basis, else you can even avail a private taxi to the attraction via dedicated destination.
