Pallipurathukavu in Kottayam district of Kerala, is known for the festival Patham udaya mahotsavam. Patham udaya mahotsavam also known as Kumbhakuta mahotsavam is the main festival held on 10th day of the Malayalam month Medam (May/June). Here, the famous ritual offering is Nadel Thiyattu performance. Pallipurathukavu is devoted to Goddess Bhagavathy.
