GHORI CHEN PEAK

This peak located between Tawang District and West Kameng District is a treat for every thrill-seeker in Arunachal Pradesh. The peak boasts a whopping elevation of 6,858 metres and is the highest peak in Arunachal Pradesh.

Gorichen is a popular spot for camping and trekking and is believed to be sacred by the local tribesmen. The panoramic views of the mighty mountains and lush green hills around will make visit to this peak worthwhile.

Gori Chen is a glacier-fed mountain group in the Eastern Himalayas. Peaks include the third highest peak in northeast India. Other peaks include Gorichen II (21,287 feet (6,488 m)), Gorichen East (20,413 feet (6,222 m)) and Gorichen South (20,496 feet (6,247 m)).
