Spanning across an area of approximately 76 acres, the zoo is meticulously designed to replicate the natural habitats of the animals it hosts, creating an environment that is both educational and visually stunning.

Conservation and Education

One of the primary goals of the Manipur Zoological Garden is to promote conservation efforts and raise awareness about the region’s diverse wildlife. One of the highlights of the Manipur Zoological Garden is its collection of rare and endangered species. In addition to the Sangai deer, the zoo is home to the highly endangered Brow-antlered Thamin deer, clouded leopards, and various species of pheasants, making it a critical hub for conservation efforts.

Lush Botanical Gardens

Beyond its remarkable collection of fauna, the Manipur Zoological Garden also features lush botanical gardens that showcase the region’s diverse plant life.
