Calvary Mount is what I would like to call as a piece of heaven on earth. A hidden gem in the ‘God’s own country’ in India, Calvary Mount is an offbeat destination mostly familiar only to the natives and to the tourists treading offbeat paths. Also known as Kalyanathandu, Calvary Mount is a view point in the Idukki district of Kerala, India, and gives panoramic views of the Idukki Dam reservoir and the surroundings, from about a height of 200 meters above the reservoir.
