In observance of National Road Safety Awareness Week, Aster Medcity organized TRAUMAX 2024, a four-day conference dedicated to advancing trauma care practices. The event, jointly organized by the Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, Kerala State Branch, and the Department of Craniomaxillofacial Surgery at Aster Medcity, Kochi, commenced on January 11 and will continue through January 14.
TRAUMAX 2024, hosted in Aster Medcity, is a comprehensive program that aims to address key issues related to trauma care. The conference includes an in-depth overview of ABCD in trauma, live demonstrations, and video presentations covering various trauma care topics, as well as discussions on approaches and diagnoses for different types of fractures.
One of the highlights of the program is the small group discussions focusing on trauma in special age groups, including geriatric and pediatric patients. Participants will also delve into the complexities of secondary traumatic deformities and explore the role of virtual surgical planning in maxillofacial trauma.
The conference will offer hands-on sessions, featuring 3D models, to provide practical experience in applying the principles of reduction and fixation in maxillofacial trauma cases. This interactive approach is designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of medical professionals attending the event.
