It is one of the ancient temples in the region and is dedicated to Lord Ayyappa, also known as Dharma Shastha. The temple is famous for its annual festival called “Arattupuzha Pooram,” which is one of the most spectacular temple festivals in Kerala.

The primary deity of the temple is Lord Ayyappa, also known as Dharma Shastha. The deity is represented in a seated posture, and devotees offer prayers for blessings and protection.

The festival concludes with the Arattu ceremony, where the deities are taken to the nearby Arattupuzha River for a ceremonial bath. Devotees gather along the riverbanks to witness this auspicious event.

The temple’s architecture reflects traditional Kerala temple architecture with intricate woodwork and stunning artwork on the walls and pillars.
