Kaladi is a significant pilgrimage and historical site located in the Ernakulam district of Kerala, India.Kaladi is situated on the banks of the Periyar River. It is approximately 10 kilometers from the town of Angamaly and about 45 kilometers from the city of Kochi (Cochin).

Kaladi is renowned as the birthplace of Adi Shankaracharya, one of the most prominent philosophers and spiritual leaders in Indian history. Adi Shankaracharya is credited with revitalizing and spreading Advaita Vedanta, a significant school of Hindu philosophy. A major attraction in Kaladi is the Adi Shankaracharya Keerthisthambam, a monument dedicated to Adi Shankaracharya.
